Miss Americana’s Pool Party: The Day Swifties Came Together to Celebrate Love, Healing & New Beginnings

Sometimes you plan something months in advance and have no idea how meaningful the timing will become.

That was our Miss Americana’s Pool Party.

At the beginning of the year, my committee members and I sat down and carefully planned out our SoCal Swifties Club calendar. We dreamed up events, mapped out our ideas, and thought about the different ways we could bring our community together throughout the year.

When we chose the date for our 4th of July celebration, we had no idea what the timing would eventually mean.

We simply knew we wanted to create a space where Swifties could come together, celebrate, make memories, and experience the kind of joy and connection that Taylor Swift’s music has brought so many of us.

And then, somehow, this event landed the day after Taylor and Travis’ wedding.

It felt incredibly special.

Not because our event was about them, but because it felt like the perfect moment for our community to celebrate love, happiness, and new beginnings together.

For so many Swifties, Taylor’s music has been part of our lives through every era — through heartbreak, healing, growth, and finding ourselves again. We have spent years listening to songs that reminded us to keep going, believe in love, and never lose the magic within us.

So gathering together right after such a joyful moment in the Swiftie world felt like a beautiful reminder of why this community exists.

When I created SoCal Swifties Club, our goal was never just to host themed events.

Of course, we love the friendship bracelets, the outfits, the Easter eggs, and getting to scream our favorite bridges together.

But the heart behind this club has always been community.

It has been about creating a place where people feel welcomed.

A place where someone can walk in not knowing anyone and leave with new friends.

A place where people can celebrate something they love without feeling judged.

A place where we can remind each other that we are never alone.

And that’s exactly what this day became.

Because sometimes healing doesn’t only happen in quiet moments.

Sometimes healing looks like showing up.

Sometimes healing looks like finding your people.

Sometimes healing looks like dancing in the sun, laughing with strangers who become friends, and allowing yourself to experience joy again.

This event was a celebration of love, friendship, and the beautiful community we are building together.

A special shoutout to Andrea, one of our amazing SoCal Swifties Club committee members, who helps make our 4th of July celebrations so magical every year. From hosting our event to baking all of our beautiful desserts and cakes, she pours so much love and creativity into creating a space where everyone feels welcomed and celebrated. We are so grateful for all the little details and big moments she helps bring to life. Thank you, Andrea, for always adding so much sweetness to our Swiftie community. 💗

I also want to give a huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Feeding San Diego easy meal kits and everyone who helped us put them together. One of the things that makes this community so special is that we don’t just come together to celebrate — we come together to give back. Seeing Swifties show up with such generous hearts was a beautiful reminder that kindness is at the center of what we do. Thank you for helping us spread a little more love beyond our own community. 💗

This wasn’t just a party.

It was a reminder that joy is powerful, community is healing, and there is always room for a new era.
